William Wesley Peters was an American architect and structural engineer, known for his long professional association with Frank Lloyd Wright, of whom he was both apprentice and son-in-law. A pioneering member of the Taliesin Fellowship from 1932, Peters became known for applying engineering principles to innovative architectural designs, contributing to landmark works such as Fallingwater and the Johnson Wax Administration Building.

He assumed key responsibilities on large-scale projects: he handled structural calculations and solutions for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, designed the Johnson Wax laboratory tower, and participated in designs attributed to the Taliesin Associates group, including the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. He also designed the Pearl Palace at the request of members of the Pahlavi family, coordinating specialized craftsmen to execute its details.

After Wright’s death, Peters took on institutional leadership as president of Taliesin Associated Architects and later of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, roles he held until his own death. His legacy includes preserving and continuing the structural and aesthetic ideas from Wright’s circle, as well as archives and libraries bearing his name that document his career.
