Annie Potts is an American actress and voice actress, best known for supporting and recurring roles in both film and television. She became nationally known as Janine Melnitz in the Ghostbusters franchise, a role she has reprised across decades and which became her signature film part. On television, she rose to prominence in series such as Designing Women and Any Day Now, where she played central characters and established herself in both drama and comedy productions.
As a voice actress, Potts provided the voice of Betty in the Toy Story franchise, appearing in key titles of contemporary animation.
