Jon Rahm (Jon Rahm Rodríguez) is a Spanish professional golfer, internationally recognized for his major wins and for his time atop the world rankings. A product of the Arizona State University collegiate team, he excelled as an amateur: he won the Ben Hogan Award twice and set records on the college circuit and in international amateur events. A professional since 2016, he notched early victories on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour in 2017. In 2021 he won the U.S. Open, becoming the first Spaniard to win that major, and in 2023 he captured the Masters Tournament, giving him two major titles. His win at the Memorial Tournament and his steady play have pushed him to world number one for more than 50 weeks over his career. Rahm has also played decisive roles in team events, debuting in the Ryder Cup in 2018 and winning his singles match against Tiger Woods. In 2023 he joined the LIV Golf League and, in addition to his on‑course success, became one of the highest‑paid athletes globally. His competitive intensity, technical skill, and results in majors and elite tournaments have solidified his status and impact in Spanish and international golf.
