Kylie Jacqueline Masse is a Canadian swimmer specializing in backstroke, known for her results at World Championships and the Olympic Games. She became the first Canadian woman to win a world title in swimming when she took gold in the 100 m backstroke in 2017, a race in which she also broke a world record that had stood for eight years. She successfully defended that title in 2019 and added a third world gold in 2022 in the 50 m backstroke. At the Olympic Games, Masse is a five-time medalist, with podium finishes at three consecutive editions — a rare achievement among Canadian swimmers.
