Adam Rippon is a former competitive figure skater and media personality from the United States, known both for his sporting results and his public role. As a competitor he won major junior titles—two-time World Junior champion (2008, 2009) and winner of the Junior Grand Prix Final—and moved up to the senior level with significant victories, including the Four Continents title (2010) and the U.S. National Championship (2016). At Pyeongchang 2018 he was part of the U.S. delegation and won a bronze medal in the team event.

Beyond his athletic career, Rippon became prominent as a public figure by becoming the first openly gay U.S. athlete to compete at and medal in the Winter Olympics, an achievement that earned him a place on the Time 100 list in 2018. After retiring from competition, he expanded into television and entertainment: he won the 26th season of Dancing with the Stars, worked as a guest host, and took part in and headlined various television and reality projects.

Also the author of a memoir, Rippon has remained active in figure skating coverage, serving as an analyst on broadcasts and contributing to discussions about sport and representation.
